Fall Festival 2007

Tonight was the Fall Festival at our church, and I was actually able to capture a few moments of Kenna's excitement!

New Haircut!

Kenna and I both had our hair all chopped off this afternoon - I was going to do before and after pictures, but alas, life is busy with little Jack Jack who at this very moment is "talking" in his sleep....how sweet

Weekend to Oklahoma

On the way to Oklahoma this weekend, we stopped at Turner Falls to snap a couple of photos. The pictures don't really do the place justice - it's much prettier in person. It was difficult to get a good shot because the sun was setting....

CrAzY hAt DaY

It's crazy hat day at Kenna's school today, so she was able to wear a hat to school. She was so excited about it, and I haven't posted any recent pictures of her lately, I decided to snap a couple this morning.... Mom made the hat for her, and she wears it ALL THE TIME when she's home, so she was more than willing to show it off to her friends at school.

Jack is now 4 weeks old, and weighs an incredible 10 and half pounds!!! Kenna was eating a brownie when I snapped this photo of her so it isn't the best in the world.....but she's still a beauty!

Grandma's Visit

My Mom came down to meet Jack and help me out for nine whole days this last week! It was great having her here to help out with Kenna, she even made quite a few dinners for me while she was here! We didn't have time to take a lot of pictures, but here are the few that I did get. My favorite is the last one with Jack and Kenna staring at each other.

This has to be the coolest baby shower gift EVER!! It's a diaper cake, and the picture does not do it justice! It's made entirely of diapers, complete with blankets, a pacifier, nail clippers and other baby necessities.... it was a gift from the coaches at work, and was the coolest thing I've ever seen!!!

The two men of the household napping together...hmmm...why wasn't I napping too?

Kenna's Big Day

I thought I would pick up Kenna from school today instead of having one of my friends bring her home....well, I was greeted with an "I'm sorry mom, I got a color change" and then when I looked in her folder I discovered that today was the awards ceremony. Usually, they send out a note, so I didn't get to go! Kenna received the following awards:

"A" Honor Roll

Math Award

Reading Award

Perfect Attendance

Perfect Conduct

So even though she had a color change today, she made it awfully hard to discipline her about it because of all of the awards!

Grandma and Grandpa came into town for Jack's birth, they were the first of anyone in the family to meet him, which is fitting, seeing as how they are the two most important people in the family to me....

Jack seems to be very content when he's in his jungle swing, it was definitely the best baby accessory so far! The two pictures of Jack in his swing were taken about one week apart, the bottom being the first, and the other he was exactly one week old....he's already changing and putting on weight. I just hope he doesn't grow up too fast, because I am really enjoying my time with him. It's going to kill me to go back to work.

Kenna is a GREAT big sister. She loves helping out with her new brother and LOVES to entertain him. She is very concerned about his happiness when we are in the car, and basically will not take her eyes off of him when we are in the car. She doesn't get to do everything she wants to with him, I just can't stand the thought of her getting him out of his swing and bringing him to me.....just too paranoid she'll drop him if he squirms.

Jack seems to be taken in by Kenna too, he'll look right at her and was following the sound of her voice while we were still in the hospital. I told Kenna he recognized her voice so well because she was always talking!

Pics from the hospital....Jack wasn't even one day old yet!
