Kenna's Bday

We celebrated Kenna's birthday a little early this year so family could be here with us. Some of the pictures following aren't ALL of Kenna, but it was Kenna's day! Thank you to EVERYONE who came to help Kenna celebrate!

Ah, yet another gift I plan on stealing from Kenna. This quilt was crafted by my ever talented aunt - she offered to make me one, or at least to put me on her "list," but it's funner to tell the family I'm stealing it!

Pre-Christmas update

Did you ever look at a picture of yourself and wonder, when on earth did I become old??? While I still have my "old" days, I have to say, I still feel 20 something....but I saw this picture and the truth is evident: I'm a mom, I'm a mom's age!!!! When did I become my MOTHER?!?!?

We made sugar cookies tonight with my Aunt, this is Kenna holding my plate of cookies we brought home. (The candy cane, stocking and tree have been reserved for Santa)

Here is Kenna's plate of cookies, she left some of her prettier ones at the Aunt's for tomorrows Christmas party.

Jack is now saying cheese when you ask him too - and this is the lovely cheese smile that follows!

We got nearly a foot of snow last night, although this picture doesn't really reflect it, this is just the windblown flakes.....still that's A LOT of snow! (I am totally loving it)

I know this is blurry, but it was funny. Jack had fallen over in his snow get up, and literally, could not get back up.....

SNOW

We awoke this morning only to discover the first snow day of the year had been called! Now, maybe I just remember Missouri snow days, but this doesn't seem like enough to cancel school....why don't they want my daughter there?

Evidently we are on the side of the building the snow drifts on. We only received about 4 inches, but I can only imagine how bad it will be later this year.

Kenna is beside herself with excitement. She's never really experienced this whole winter thing, or played in it for that matter. Well, there was this one time it snowed on her spring break in Nebbie-land, but other than that, nothing. Lesson today kids: don't take your snow days for granted!
