This past weekend

My Mom flew into Phoenix this last weekend for a visit. We all stayed in Phoenix for the weekend and went to one of the zoos that Phoenix offers. We all had a great time. Jack loved the giraffes and penguins...

My favorite animals are the birds, especially ducks...

This is a Jaguar who did not like men. While we were there a man poked this beautiful cat, which, of course, the cat did not like. It snarled and yelled at the man. Later on, right before we left, we went to go visit the pretty kitty again. I talked to it (yes I am crazy) and told it what a pretty kitty it was. It looked at me, just enjoying the company. The next thing we know, a Grandpa and his grandson walk up. As soon as the older gentleman talked, the Jag snarled and yelled again. I am positive this Jag does not like men! Weird....

While at the zoo, I let the kids ride the carousel. Jack thought it was just super! He was having a great time, as shown by the picture above...that is, until it started moving!

Then he did not like it at all...in fact, he hated it! He spent the rest of the ride in my chest, facing backwards...

Here we all are waiting for the train. We chowed down on a $4 hot dog, $4 bottle of water, and a $3 Dr Pepper fountain drink. Seriously, are you kidding me with these prices???

The conductor was giving us a story about certain animals as we passed them....I must have been confused about something, but Jack seems content. He actually enjoyed the ride.

As we passed the ostriches, Jack felt the need to yell at them. I wish I knew what he had told them.

I just love birds....big or small, I don't know what the obsession is, but I love intelligent birds!

Kenna "petting" a star fish. We also both got to touch a sting ray, well, a lot of them actually. My camera battery died after this starfish picture, and it made me very sad.

I love the Valley in the Wintertime

We spent the weekend in Phoenix, and I have to say, I miss warm winters!!! It was around 75ish all weekend long, and absolutely beautiful. The kids enjoyed an afternoon at the park on Saturday, and that day was the only day I took any pictures....so, on with the multitude of park pictures!

I think Jack was happiest of all to play outside, he was all smiles, well, at least until the swings and the slides.....weird

He did seem to enjoy this spring thing....not sure if its a dinosaur or alligator, or what, but he had a good time on it, even with his sisters help!

Now, the daredevil that my son is, I really expected him to just love the slides....it is obvious however, from the look on his face that he in fact, did NOT love the slide.

This is a strange picture, but I like it. I think he is saying, one more time, just one more time!

I'll admit this is not the best shot Kenna has ever had, but I couldn't pass up the happiness on Jack's face.

Me with the kiddos. I love this hat. I don't know if it's fashion forward, or fashion backward, but I don't care. It's purple plaid and it was only $3 at Target!!!!!!!
