Kasey's First Bday

Okay, so technically, Kasey has been one year old for nearly two weeks before we had her party, but I wanted to wait for my Gma and pa to be able to be here. We had her party on Sunday, and she was in a good mood the WHOLE time!

I suspect she likes being the center of attention, and she really did have a good time.

Kasey's cake was filled with A LOT of drama. I ordered it two weeks ago and when I went to pick it up, they had no order for it. I was livid! Long story short, I ended up with a cake.

Jack pretending to blow out the candle. I would like to draw attention to Kenna's shirt, or should I say, MY shirt. My uncle Doug got me another Pi Day shirt (WHICH I LOVE LOVE LOVE - one of the best gifts I've ever gotten EVER, no offense to anyone else)

We put KC on the table by herself. She has been practicing eating cupcakes for a couple of weeks now, so I really expected her to go nuts over the cake, but she didn't. She enjoyed being sung to, and Jack blew her candle out for her.

We finally just put her in her little chair and gave her a cupcake. She knew what to do then - I've said it a thousand times before, and I'll probably be saying it a thousand more times, but I love her smile!

I wasn't really thinking when we had cake before presents, and I completely forgot to bring her an extra shirt, so she's half naked for all of her present opening! Its a good thing she got mostly clothes. I told everyone that she didn't really need any toys, but she's was going to need summer clothes,

Like any other kid, she loved the tissue paper. She took one piece of paper out of one of the bags and would probably played with it for an hour if I hadn't of done something about it!

All in all it was a good party for a one year old. It's exciting that she's reaching all these milestones, but it's sad at the same time. I keep thinking to myself, this is the last first tooth, my last first steps, my last first bday party. Our family is definitely complete and I don't want anymore children. I couldn't be happier with the three I have been blessed with. Ahhh...my last first bday!!! Lots of more last-firsts to go!

outside

Yesterday it was absolutely beautiful outside. I let the two older ones out to play, but I went out with Kasey too. She LOVED IT. In fact, she was really, really angry when I made her come inside for a nap. Really angry.

She had fun running around (yes, she "runs" now), and playing in the dirt. Which of course, I cringe at because dirt and sand are the enemy. I HATE the outside dirt..ugh!

Kasey playing in the dirt

My beautiful Kenna

Kasey...she's so flipping cute!

Jack

And back to KC

I love this smile...I hope she doesn't lose it as she gets bigger

Kenna's new scooter. After nearly two years of begging, I FINALLY gave in...

Of course Jack had to have his picture taken with it too!

KC running around...

This last group of photos should be in reverse order. Let me explain - I wanted to get all three kids together, smiling. If your a parent of multiple little people, then you know what challenges that presents.... This is the last photo in the shot. At first, Jack was standing with the girls, (who were very cooperative) but then he wouldn't smile.

Then he ran about with me yelling at him to stand still and smile...anyway - you'll see as you scroll down.

notice that Jack is blurred a little - that's because of his running in circles, and I mean LITERALLY running in circles....

see the blurs?

I love this one - he's obviously not wanting to cooperate
This is a good one of the girls, Jack is behind the tree

Dinner time

Dinner time usually isn't this messy, but we had broccoli for our vegetable this night. KC loves her broccoli!!! Well, she at least likes to make a mess of it. She pretends to shampoo her hair with it...

This photo is a perfect shot of her teeth - two on the bottom, and two coming in on the top!!!
