Durango CO day 1 and 2

We arrived in Durango, CO Sunday night, and unpacked, ate dinner, visited, and slept. It was a long trip for the kids, and even longer for me, but VERY worth the drive. It's absolutely beautiful here, and very, very relaxing.

We haven't done much yet, but the fun will start tomorrow with alpine slides...I can't wait!

Mark's mother (Jan) and sister (Steph) cooking dinner the first night, mac and cheese, with some really special type sausages, they were really sweet, but sausages at the same time.

Looking down from my bedroom door into the living area/kitchen area...gorgeous!

KC in the playroom that has a little room attached to it, I mean little, just like it was made for someone her size!

Bella, Stephanie's daughter (so cute)

Katrina (Stephanie's oldest daughter)

Notice the baby Mark is holding...if that wasn't funny enough, he wanted to look at this picture twice to see what his new shoes looked like on him!

My super duper cutie boy

Kenna on my bedroom balcony

KC with her aunt Malak (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) Malak, Mike, and their two girls came all the way from Belgium!

Sitting outside while everyone else was roasting marshmallows

Bubble Blowing

The bubbles at the bottom of the post are the new Crayola bubbles, I found mine in the Easter section. They are really cool, but really messy.

It won't be long before she ends up stealing this little scooter thing from Jack - she already LOVES to play on it!

These pics are in reverse order (of course), Kasey had gotten a hold of one of the bubble bottles (the blue one) and put it in her mouth.

See how messy? Seriously, cool bubbles, big mess. I ended up taking diaper wipes to the side of the building to clean up the bubble mess on the walls. In fact, I still have blue stuff that dripped on my shoe.

You can't help but to love those big blue eyes!

A really cool purple bubble

Of course Kasey wanted to play too!

I had the kids blow some on the bush so I could get pics of the bubbles....they really are super cool, but super messy too....

If you enlarge this pic you can see how bright the bubbles are...I am really tired of typing the word bubble right now...my laundry is done in the laundry room and a lady just came to tell me so because she wants to get hers in there....but I have to sit here and finish this, because my MOTHER misses these kids for some reason, and wants me to update my blog....arg!

My latest project - FINISHED

This was made for my Grandmother...and the next project I'm working on is also for her....but it's going to take awhile...I'm always a little sad when I finish a project, the loss of not having something to do. I was lucky enough that my mother solved that problem for me, but I really enjoyed this particular project. I really had fun making it!

Sometimes I wonder about the boy

OK, these are a little out of order. It started with Jack wanting to wear my apron. I thought it was cute. Then he comes out of the bedroom wearing a dress of Kenna's. This isn't a dress she actually wears, but it's just for dress up.....

This is the apron my Aunt Stevie made for me. I love it because well, it's cute and it's purple!

This is one night after we'd all finished dinner. Poor thing must have been tired!

A whole lotta pictures

I've got a lot of photos to get on here, but it's going to be in a couple different posts.

This might actually look like Kenna is sleeping (or at least pretending), but actually, she and Jack were wrestling. Kasey can keep up with both of them and give them both a run for their money. I was trying to get a picture of her playing with them, but as soon as I got the camera out, she staring posing. What a ham! Just before the camera came out though, she would take turns sitting on Kenna's head, and then Jacks.

Playing outside

Bedtime

Kasey didn't wait for me to put her in bed one night, and curled up with Kenna and went to sleep while Kenna watched tv. So cute!!!
