Jack's new shoes

Jack has moved up a shoe size! Thanks to my mother, I didn't have to go shopping for shoes. I set them out last night after he went to bed, and retired his Nike's she bought for him...or did I get them? I can't remember....

Anyway, Jack thought he was big stuff this morning when he had new shoes to wear. Our morning routine goes something like this:

eat breakfast
clean his face and hands
he lays out his Mickey Mouse blanket or Automobile blanket (depends on the mood)
Undress, change panties (yes I know, boys don't wear panties)
get dressed
he goes to get his shoes
we put them on
he gets his hat
and we leave


This morning was a little different, after he got up from his chair, it was straight to the new shoes...I didn't even think he had seen them. He took them to Daddy right away! After he did get dressed however, he was very excited to wear them.....

I think they are a tiny bit big, but watching him clomp around in his new shoes was fun. When he got to school this morning, it was the first thing he showed his teacher.

He is very proud of his shoes!!! Thanks MOM!!!!

Karaoke Saturday

This last Saturday, we attended the Karaoke event,
which has now become a weekly event for us!

After Karaoke was finished, we (K, D, DJ, J and myself) had a little cookout....

Uncle Del on the Radio

Uncle Del was invited to go to our local country station to play/talk. The "My Kind of Country Show" was from 4-6pm yesterday. Needless to say, we all went, and we missed Kenna. (She would have LOVED being in a "real radio station."

Del sung three songs, and had a great time....he's been invited back again, but we don't know when yet.

The host/DJ for this radio show is JJ (if I'm wrong, sorry), I do remember his name was Jack though, that's an easy name to remember.

Train Rides

Taken about a week ago - this is Jack at the singing competion here in town Uncle Del was in.

The busy town of Show Low has a little train that runs on the weekend. Karen, Del, DJ, Jack and I went to ride on the train today.

After the train ride we went to Taco Bell to eat - we thought we were going to get three free tacos (each) but they don't serve them till 4pm.

K's field day/Awards day

Today was Kenna's awards ceremony and field day.

Jack being a good boy while we waited to hear Kenna's name to be called.

Kenna received an award for outstanding attendance.

All in all, it was a good day. Kenna was happy to have me there, and I had fun too....I do have to say, field days when I was in school were way more fun!!! I miss the three legged race, it was my favorite. Evidently, they've had too many broken legs because of it! CRAZY
